American Arbitration Association® and Newcode Join to Bring ADR Clauses Directly into AI-Powered Legal Workflows

Today, Newcode announces a strategic alliance with The American Arbitration Association (AAA®), the global leader in alternative dispute resolution (ADR).
Through this collaboration, AAA ADR clauses will be made available directly within Newcode, enabling users to incorporate clear and effective clause language from the moment they begin drafting agreements.
By integrating AAA’s library of arbitration and mediation clauses directly into Newcode, legal and business teams will have access to established AAA clause language that can be incorporated into contracts, workflows, and agentic‑AI drafting tools.
The collaboration is designed to support the adoption of thoughtful, well-structured ADR clauses, helping organizations reduce ambiguity, strengthen procedural alignment, and support a clearer path for resolving disputes should they arise.
“AI is reshaping how legal teams draft and negotiate, but one thing that hasn’t changed is the importance of getting agreements right from the start, particularly when it comes to dispute resolution clauses,” said Janet Miranda, vice president of Go-to-Market & Alliances at the AAA. “By making AAA clauses available directly within Newcode, we’re giving lawyers and businesses access to thoughtful, well-structured language that can help reduce drafting risk before a dispute arises.”
Newcode’s platform allows firms to build bespoke AI agents that draft, refine, and analyse arbitration‑ and mediation-related language using the AAA library of clauses as their foundation. Every interaction is logged, auditable, and executed within a controlled environment that never trains on user data – providing confidentiality, consistency, and independence throughout the drafting process.
With AAA clauses embedded in Newcode, users gain:
- Clear and effective ADR clause language available at the point of drafting.
- Configurable control layers designed to support responsible application of clause language.
- Transparent agent behaviour with full auditability.
- A confidential, non‑training environment for sensitive contract work.
- Bespoke drafting workflows aligned to arbitration procedures.
“Newcode’s architecture was built for the most demanding legal environments arbitration among them,” said Maged Helmy, Founder and CEO of Newcode. “Embedding AAA clauses directly into Newcode gives arbitrators, case teams, and contract drafters a governed foundation for agentic‑AI drafting. It ensures that the language shaping future disputes is clear, consistent, and effective at the start. Arbitration is precisely the kind of work Newcode was designed to serve.”
The collaboration builds on the AAA’s longstanding work to make trusted arbitration resources more widely accessible. Through collaborations with legal technology providers and the development of its own AI-enabled tools, the AAA continues to explore new ways to integrate its rules, clauses, and expertise into evolving legal workflows.
